diving duck recordings was founded in 2004, as an independent British jazz label for the contemporary scene. With seven critically-acclaimed albums to our credit, our mission is to produce music that represents the great diversity and musicality represented by the current UK jazz scene.

: In April this year we recorded 4 nights of Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club resident band, The James Pearson Trio (appearing at the club incorporated in the Ronnie Scott's All-Stars), from which we have 2 CDs worth of great music. The first will be released in November at Ronnie Scott's during the London Jazz Festival. Samples will be available here soon!

: The Jim Mullen Organ Trio were nominated in the Best Ensemble category of the 2007 All-Parliamentary Jazz Awards. They recorded a fantastic new album in June this year, and is scheduled for a November release. The album is entitled Make Believe and features the stellar Stan Sulzmann on tenor sax on all tracks.

: the eagerly-anticipated second album from Matthew Ford, titled On The Other Side Of The Tracks, was released on 10th December, and is now available from all good retailers. Recorded in July 2007, it features fantastic new arrangements from Colin Skinner and John Horler. More information on our Other Side page. The new album has featured on the BBC radio shows of Malcolm Laycock, Russell Davies and John Hellings so far.... there will be plenty more exposure to follow!

: Phenomenal young trombonist Alistair White will be recording his debut CD in the coming months, featuring guest appearances from Gerard Presencer and Alex Garnett - very exciting!
